About Crocus Creations
Thank you so much for taking the time to read about us. My name is Catherine Meades. I am the founder and owner of Crocus Creations. In order for me to tell you about Crocus Creations, I would like to talk to you a bit about myself. I was born and raised in Ontario, Canada and now live in Los Angeles, California. From childhood, it was always my dream to someday learn to paint. That someday finally happened a few years ago and I have never looked back. The Crocus Creations card line was born as a result of my desire to share my art with my friends and family in Canada. Years ago, someone said to me, “Catherine. You wear your heart on your sleeve.” It wasn’t meant as a compliment and certainly not seen as a good thing. Since I believe that you can take a negative and turn it into a positive, I now wear my heart on my greeting cards and I believe that is a good thing! I hope you agree.
Throughout my life, some of my dreams have come true and some have not. As you can see, my childhood dream of becoming a painter has come true. One of my more recent dreams has been to get this web site up and running so that I can share my Crocus Creations with you.
Like everything else in this world, Crocus Creations were not created in a vacuum and I have many people to thank for their help along the way. Without them, there would be no Crocus Creations, so here goes—thank you to my friends and family for your continued encouragement and support. In particular, a special thank you goes to my husband Norman for his continuing patience throughout and my dear friend Dolly who encouraged and advised me when no one else could or would. Thank you Mitch for believing in me enough to give me my first commissioned assignment! Last but not least, I thank my wonderful and talented web designers and developers, Cheryl Redick and Maria Reid, who worked so hard to help me build this web site!
